TOWARDS the close of 1920, over six months in advance of the recent general price changes, Oldsmobile announced a new four-cylinder car. This car was designed and built to meet exactly the conditions which 23 years of experience in building motor cars foresaw. Its prices were based then on the anticipated reductions in the 1921 material and labor market. Happily Oldsmobile resources the tremendous buying power and the tnade it possible at that time to put rigid economies of a 23 year old or-

into immediate practice the policy dictated by our better judgment. Inistead of waiting for the material and labor market to adjust itself to public demand it was decided to give the people not only what they wanted, but even better than they expected and sooner than they anticipated. The Oldsmobile Four would not have been possible without foresight and faith in the public's ever-generous response to true value. It could not have been accomplished without

ganization. The public has answered; and by the volume of its verdict, Oldsmobile is nationally accepted today as an exceptional value in this new market of better values. If you too, are taking full advantage of the greater purchasing power of today's dollar, you will in justice to yourself analyze the reasons for Oldsmobile preference in its widest sense of better values as to comfort, power and dependable performance.

is no disgrace. The true disgrace is doing nothing to PREVENT poverty; and it is easier to avert than to cure. The surest preventative of Poverty is a growing bank account, begun and added to when money is
