Word comes from Eulck headquarters that the new Euick Fours are due to arrive in Hammond some time thia week. John Schmeustr, the BulcX dealer, has had about all he could do the past two weeks answering inquiries about the new Four. In New York City there are lKi sight-seeing busses plying the streets of the greater city. They average 41) passengers at $1 each trip, over three routes, an excursion around the avenues and drives of Manhatten and trips to Chinatown and Coney Island. The busses draw upon from 200.000 to S00.0l0 strangers in the city every day. The Victory Highway, a new roaa project planned in this country will be a national monument in honor of the living and the dead who served in the World War. The road will stratca from the Atiatic to the Taciac passing through Topeka, Kan., the approximate geographical center of tha United States. The eastern terminai of the highway will be New York and the western terminal San Franiisco. Professor Leslie anounced. had developed a carbureator with which that mileage could be obtained. For the purpose of testing a ventilation sysrtem developed for the Hudson vehicular tunnel, which, when completed, will link New York with the Jersey shore, an experiment is planned- August 1, near Pittsburgh.
