It must be said of the Elks that for their first season In baseball and not having- been able to get started before the month of June, have done exceptionally well and with a few- minor changes will give"the best 'f them a run" for their money. The Elks have net picked on easy teams to play, when booking games with such as the Vulcanites and the Aristos and the Chicago Athletes, besides now having games under consideration for booking with Milwaukee. In a fast clean cut game the Scatcna Colts defeated the Thornton Tigers by the count of 4 to 0 at Morris I'ark on Sunday afternoon Denver Hams the start twlrler for Scatenas was mostly rcrponsible for the Scats victory.
