Mr. and Mrs. A. Sharp and Mr. and Mrs. K. Freeze went on a motor trip last Monday through different points in Indiana. The Mesdames E. E(ff?ers, Frank Huehler. M. ltuehler and Ausrusta Kgtters, attended tho birthday party of Mrs. Amelia Etter of Whiting last Sunday evening. little Susie Carlile of Myrtle avenue is confined to her home with the mumps, which is causing her a frreat deal of trouble this warm weather. Misj Martha Skeren of Chicago, was the guest of Miss Susie Rohon of Myrtle avenue the forepart of the week. Miss Rohon and her guest and Miss Marie Srabala, attended a theater in Chicago.

Mits May me Brand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brand, and Mr. William Fleck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fleck, were united in marriage yesterday morning at 10 o'clock. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. Jynn at the Catholic Parsonage and vaa witnessed by Miss Martha Wohl, as maid of honor, Mr. Paul Nehuer as best man. and Miss Clara Fleck. The bride wore a dress o' fiay satin with corsage -of white sweet peas. -:. Mom worr yellow taffeta with lavender sweet peas. A wedding breakfast was served at the bride'a home Immediately after the ceremony to the Immediate families of both parties. Trie young couple left for a few days honeymoon trip and upon their return will reside on Lincoln (rtreet. where they have a bungalow furnished. The groom is employed in the offices of the American Bridge company at Gary.

Mr. A. C. Knight la enjoying a couple, of week's vacation and will leave today with his family to visit friends and relatives at Kalamazoo. Mich.
