Sifter Freirmin, lightweight pride of the west side htto, and Johnny Dunde. willing New Yrk Italian, went ten rounds to a draw last night In the main bout of the boxing show etaged at Kast Chicago by th Twin City A. C. Tf a hairline decision vrn tt fee drawn, the verdict would go to Dundee. Tn the Btand-off, open work. Freedman lajideil the cleaner and morn eol'.l punches while Dundee showed to son advantage at close quarter. whn lie continually pounded the Sailor's midsection with, short, choppy rights. Both men resorted to clinching repeatedly, .but neither landed solid enough blows to kMw tip his opponent. JOCXDEB SLOWS IP NAIIjOK. la the ninth session Dundee received!' 9, cut ever his right eye is a result of IPreedman's butting. This act aroused, the Italian's ire and he landed
a right swing on Freedman's Jaw which moment a.rtly slowed up the local boy. Freedman recovered Immediately and fought the Italian to a Btandatill for the remainder of the
round. The tret two rounds were about even, but In the third session Freedom an won an advantage by landing 8"!!fl lefts and rights to the b-.rly. Dundee evened up the score by taking the next session. He planted several light left hooks on Freedman's Jaw, but the blows lacked force. FIGHT JEESHV BATTLE. There was no action in the fifth roun5, bnt Frudman t-ok the sixth by a slight margin. There was little to choose between the two battlers in the sever.!.:-!, hut Dundee had the better of the mining in the eighth. The ninth round brought out plenty of fireworks, with each landing effective punches, but there was little to choose between them at the end of the session. The boxers" efforts had been spent when they came -up for the tenth round, and although each landed well directed punches, they lacked steam. Pr4mn and Dundee made weight at 135 pounds at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon . HONOR TO GO ASHEB The opening bout between Babe Asher, A. E. F. bantamweight champion, and Jimmy Kelly, we?t side boxer, was an interesting contest, with honors going to Asher. Kelly was unable to land effective, while Asher was equally clever at tn-flghttng and in the standing off art of exchanging wallops., Torn CNen was unable to fill his engagement with Eddie McGoorty because of a bad arm, and Frank Yarchaa of Indiana Harbor was substituted. Eddie punished his man so severely In three rounds that Yarchan was unable to come up for the fourth round, and McGoorty was credited wlta a technical knockout. The house was estimated at $12,000 to 115.000 and 600 Chicago fans male the trip on Al Bloom's special train.

TAD TELLS OF BETTING
PROBABILITY
fT takes more than & mechanical marvel and clever driving to compete In a long automobile race, such as the International 500-mlle race, to be h3ld at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Monday. May 30. The driver must have a physique that will withstand the torments of swirling about the two andonehalf mile bricked oval at gravity-defying speed. All the drivers go through a long period of training before they are ready to start and even tnen' it Is ecmet!me8 necessary to relieve them for a time during the race. ET TAD (Written for the International N. S)
NEW YORK, May 27. The first bitting on the fistic battle of the century Is even money that Dempsey wins in six rounds. Take whatever end of the bet you like and bet as much as you please. This is the news we received from Pan Francisco, where odds were made. Harry K. Monahan, the Paclflo coast's biggest betting commissioner, is laying the odds and already has quite, a bundle of ja.-k up on the bout. He adds that should three Judges be selected (Tex Rlckard says there will t that Dempsey will rule favorite at odds of 2H to 1. C'f ur?e. if you bet that Dempsey wins in six rounds you have three or four things in your favor. Should Dempsey knock Carpentler out, you win. Should Carpentler foul Dempsey bcfor the sixth you win. Should Descampa Jump into the Mxth to save his man from further punishment, you win. Should the police order the bout stopped, you win. Should the referee stop the fight because it is too one-sided, you win. Should Carpentier quit, you win. Should Carpentler break an arm and retire, you win. There are people who think that Dempsey has gone back. They will certainly take the Carpentier end ot
?uch a bet. And those who feel that the Frenchman is too faat will also bet that way. There are others wno figure Dempsey to win in a punch. They are the dafTy followers that every champ has. Maybe they are right. Last night we met a prominent bookmaker who will make book on the fight. He has made out his card and offers the following: 10 to 1 Dempsey doesn't win in one round . 8 to 1 Dempsey doesn't win in two rounds . 6 to 1 Dempsey doesn't win in three rounds . 4 to 1 Dempsey doesn't win in our rounds . 2 to 1 Dempsey doesn't win in five rounds . Even money Dempsey doesn't win lt six rounds.
