Monday, May the thirteenth, will be full of tender memories centering around every cross in Flanders Field, every grave in the Argonne Forest, and every green mound in the homeland where an American soldier lies asleep. Because of their sacrifices a new spirit permeates the world of today. By flower or emblem alone we cannot do a fitting honor to these beloved dead. We ask you, therefore, to join us in the pledge to carry on their spirit of loyalty and service and make this a truly significant Memorial Day
