Judge neiter today grsnted the petition of Michael Havran for arecount of the votes cast In the East Chicago republican primary election for city Judge
when the matter came up this morning in Room 2 of the Superior court at j Hammond. '
Havran was represented by Attorneys McAleer, Dorsey and Glllett. while Hymaii Cohen was represented by Attorney C. B. Tinkham. The court appointed Harry Spencer and Abe Otten-
helmer of East Chicago and Fred Smith of Whiting as commissioners to make the recount. These selections were mads with the understanding that in case either of the men could not serve, the court can name substitutes. The work cf going over the ballots will start Monday, May 23 and will take place In Room 3 of the court house at Hammond.

John Konkoly, who is a partner of Peter LIvovlch. In the gracery business
at 4324 Alexander avenue.. East Chicago, Is asking for the appointment of a receiver to take charge of the store. He says Uvlvlch has crowded him to a no side and refuses to let him have any part In the management of the business. The partnership was organised February 2 at which time Konkoly says he put 32.700 Into the business. He says he has received $1,500 out of the proceeds and since May 10 has been refused any Interest In the place. Hhe charges that Uvovlch is now selling the stock at prices on which he is losing money and unless he Is restrained will cause a heavy financial loss to the partners. His petition for a receiver and restraining order were filed In the Superior court at Hammond this morning by Attorneys Ibach, Gavlt, Stlnsoa snd Gavlt.
