BULLET FOUSU IV OAI. A .38 caliber bullet was found In the road ose to the body. The slu? was evidently the one that punctured tne hand, or It might have been the one which glanced from the head. It Is thought that at least three revolver were used to commit the murder, as the other holes seem to be of different caliber. Two theories are advanced as to the motive for the murder. 'The- Idea that it was robbery Is scouted by the police, as the man's pockets had not been searched. The first supposition ts that he was a Chlcag-o gangster, shot and left 1" a 'only Epot because he did not agree with his confederates. Gunmen and gangsters usually work on the theory that dead men tell no tales, and this is the usual method used to get rid of troublesome persons. The other, and less plausible. id"H. is that he was held up while driving
an automobile, and hot and thrown j
out of the car after having been driven to the spot. ronrsE O IT FACE. On point 1s certain, that he was shot while riding in the rear seat. The bullet holes in the. back were evidently Inflicted after he had been thrown out of the car. as his was found lylns; on his face. The two which were low down, were too low to hsv been Inflicted when he was In the front of the car. Ther was a lars:e pool or Mood an l a mark in the road where his n-ad had struck when thrown to the pavement. Kvldentlv the murderers sat In the car and deliberately pumped bullets Into the proetrate body as It lay s.t the side of the street. KINGEIUFRIXTS WILL UK TAKKX. The police are making- every effort
to Identify the man positively and f
locate his murderers. Finger-prints will be taken In order to discover If he had a police record, and the suit will be traced through the name on the label. It !s fairly certain that th" firm will have a record of the sale of the garments.
