The request for an invitation was made by the reporter of Mrs. Le Grand T. Meyer, chairman of the history department under whose auspices the tableaux is presented. .Mrs. Meyer agreed that the event should not be jxsrmitted to pass without review in which the ladies would receive due credit for their efforts. They have devoted several hours a day for several to learning and rehearsing their parts. Mrs. John F. Wiihelm, chairman of the tableaux, voiced a sentiment to the contrary, "Man," she said, "you'll be mobbed. Oxl man ln tine crowd would ba worse titan a hundred." "Mrs. "WllheJLm had promised the. ladiea that there, would not, be any men present." said Mrs. Meyer, "and of iftoures ahs will have to stand by her word.
