As wife of the vice president, who presides over the senate, Mrs. Calvin Coolidge automatically becomes the president of the social organization known as "the senate ladies." This group of wives of the senators has luncheons frequently at the homes of the different members. It is purely a social gathering. Mrs. Coolidge was the honor guest at the final luncheon of the wives of the outgoing senate. Mrs. Marshall, who has presided over the organization for eight years, turned over her cfTice to Mrs. Coolidge.

Everything Not Nailed Down in Danger KANSAS CITY. Mo., March 10. The Kansas City police force is "up in the air" today over the theft of a S-hcrs; power aeroplane from the mission road

landing field. The plane disappeared sometima

during the night. Today when the Lightning Aviation company appealed for police assistance in recovering the stolen plane, authorities admitted they were "stalled." The problem was solved when B. M. Tuxhorn. an aviator for the company, was commissioned a special policeman to "search the clouds" for the stolen plane. Tuxhorn left for Leavenworth at noon on a "tip" that an airplane had been seen passing over that city.
