LOOKIISG FOR MUXIOAJT Police of all neighboring cities have been asked to be on the lixkout for a Mexican, who Is accused of spiriting away, Mrs. Dora Botos, wife of James Botos of 621 142nd street. East Chicago, sometime during the afternoon of last Sunday, taking with him, two young children, and a sum of money belonging- to Mr. Botoa. The facts of the case leaked out yesterday afternoon when Botos appeared at the city hall and asked that a warrant be served out for the Mexican, who had been a roomer at the Botos home for about two months. According to statements made by Botos, he was c&lled to Chleaaro last Sunday morning on business and when he came back home found his wife and two children gone, besides a sum of money. Hotoa can give no reason for his wife's departure, other than the Mexican had made numerous promises to his wife, telling her that he would buy her fine clothes and Jewelry, If she would go with htm. AIUSTO CX.VB TO PROMT AGAIV Several weeks ago this organization went on record to make up a sum of money for a brother, who was stricken will illness caused by & severe cold and later developed Into tuberculosis. In order to make up a large sum, a benefit dance was to be given at the Ma.nic temple. East Chicago, about two weeks ago. but owing to the small pox epidemic the club was forced to postpone the dance until Wednesday the 2th. The dance will be a serpentine and confetti dance. Bn it Is hoped that a large crowd will attend. The stricken brother is Steven A. Lott. formally employed at the Inland, Steel, was very popular during the baseball season, as he always makes what is known as grandstand plays. Twin City News Notes The Latin Club held its regular meeting at the McKlnley School last evening and now has a registered membership of ovpr seventy students. They are progressing very well under the tutorship o Miss Merrill and Miss Meyers, both teachers. Two very well known men of Indiana Harbor underwent very similar operations In the past week. The John Hucker home at 3908 Ivey street, has been sold to Mr. August Englehaupt of Block avenue. The latter contemplates taking posesslon soon. The sad news on Monday of the death of Genevieve, daughter of Mrs. Violet Turner, shocked her many friends here. She had been sick but three days with pneumonia. Mr. and Mrs. Will Walters and son of Chicago Heights and Miss Goldle Fallows of Hammond visited with Mrs. Mary Walters on Sunday. . Will Oallager, who formerly lived at Tolleston. but now living in Mississippi will sell out his interest there and return to Lake county.
