Keeping the Light of Progress Burning Because the Managers' January Sales Campaign Is the Greatest in Our History

9 lights dim without fid. flame burns bright only 'with constant replenishment. jf Our light is the light of progress. jf We keep it burning bright with the fuel of bigger, better and finer achievements. J Such an achievement is The Manager's Challenge Sale the greatest merchandising event in the history of this store. It is impossible to do justice on paper to the strenuous efforts, the careful planning and skillful execution on the part of every member of this big store's organization to make this event Hammond's greatest. J The whole catalogue of needed merchandise is represented Women's Apparal, Clothing, Shoes. Dry Goods, Hosiery, Underwear, Housewares, Furniture, and the thousand and one articles contained within the four walls of Northern Indiana's greatest store. 11 This is an unusual event and we are taking unusual methods to let the people know about it. That is why you will find unusual values quoted in every one of our advertisement in The Times during the entire month of January we desire to drive home the facts of this great underselling campaign.

F When the Edward C. Minas Co's store with its reputation for the lowest possible prices, day in and day out, week in and week out, year in and year out, announces a specially prepared event of this magnitude, it is a signal to the thrifty to prepare to supply their needs for months to come. t For it is the thrifty, prudent shoppers, the careful women who sensibly demand one hundred cents in return for every dollar they spend, who make up the rank and file of this store's customers. J This Buyer's Challenge Contest Sale makes possible genuine economy without parsimoney. It makes it possible for you to have those things you wish without paying inflated prices. Cf It would have been impossible for us to have prepared an event of this magnitude without the generous assistance of friendly manufacturers. Men with whom we have maintained pleasant trade relations for many years-and who co-operate with ut in making special price concessions for the Buyer's January Sales Contest.

f From the opening bell at 8:30 each morning until the last deliverv truck pulls into the garage, on the 3 1st of January, action, with sellnig service will rule Q Prices have been cut deeper than ever before, and cut on merchandise of most timely value.

Edward C. Minas Co.
