To the partially beaten erg whites add the cream of tartar and beat until stiff. Fold into a cake mixture. On a buttered pan spread H-lnoh thick and bake in s moderate oren. Cut in squares nd corer with boiled frosting. Decorate with nuts. Caramel-Almond Ice Cream 1 cup ground almonds 2 cups cream. 2 eggs, beaten. 1 cup sugar. 2 cups milk. Mt teaspoon salt H cup flour. 1H cupa caramel flavoring Mix the flour, salt and sugar, add caramel flavoring and hot milk, and cook In double boiler for about twenty minutes, stirring constantly. Add two beaten eggs, return to double boiler and cook about three minutes, stirring frequently. Cool, add nuts and cream and freeee. To prepare tbe caramel flavoring, melt one and one-half cupg of sugar in tbe frying pan. and when It is . brown add one and one-half cups of boiling water. Boil for about fifteen minutes. Macaroni Loaf Drop into salted, boiling water, one-half package of macaroni. Cook until tender. Drain and rinse with cold water.
