North Pole. December 18, 1920. Mr. Ed Young. Hammond, Ind. Hello, Ed. Old Timer: Hi bet when you wrote me asking for your Christmas presents and recommending to me where I could make some good selections, and also asked for a reply to yotir letter, you thought simply because you had grown to be quite a big boy that I would forget you, but you see this letter is evidence in itself that I still remember my old friends. Say, Ed, you think or at least some folks do, that you're quite a fiddler, well be that as it may, they lell me you're gonna use your orchestra for an orphan children's benefit dance, proceeds to go to these little tots. That's indeed a noble act and I'll try to reward you and the rest of your music makers when I'm in Hammond on Christmas Eve. - At that, Ie a lot of respect for your musical opinion, so I'm going to ask your candid opinion of my selection of Melo Harps. Edison and Victrola Talking Machines from Straube's as Christmas gifts for Hammond folks. Pretty good, eh? Nother thing, Ed: you're married now, so you don't need to bkirh or think anything about this, but if any of the men that you know are in doi.bl as to where to go to buy their wives, children's or sweethearts any wearing apparel you know what I mean, classy stu.f send them to the Weserveu Ladies Shop at 650 So. Hohman street. Well, I've got to hunt up my seal skin driving gloves and be ready for Christmas Eve. So long. SANTA CLALS. P. S. Ed, you're quite a story teller, aren't you? I think I'll leave you a story book so you can spring them on your friends.
