Dear Billy: Of all the communications I have received this year, yours was indeed one of the most welcome, because, true to your dear old self, you offered help instead of asking for something. When I read that portion of your letter where you offered half, of the fire department force up to twelve o'clock and the other half of the department until day break to help me distribute Christmas presents, I couldn't help but feel your letter was sent in the true Christmas spirit of every member of the department. But truly, Billy, if you want to help me the most, your regular station will be the best. Have all the boys in the fire department on the job so as to put out any fire that might threaten to melt my frosty path on Christmas Eve, then I can travel unmolested. Say, Billy .T've got a new stunt on the delivery of automobile tires this Christmas. I've got to deliver a large quantity of tires from the Stern Tire and Rubber Co. this year, so I'm going to start them from the top of an iceberg near the North Pole and then start rolling them to their proper destinations. Pretty good, eh? And it saves a lot of room in my sleighs for a complete line of ladies and children's wearing apparel, 'n everything carried by the Weserveu Ladies Shop at 650 Hohman street. You know the ladies must have special attention, and if they want servie they sure can get it at that place. Now Billy, in conclusion I promise you this, that if you'll put that red speed-wagon of yours in the garage for a few days I'll leave you a can of auto varnish to brighten er up a bit.
