You sure do run true to form when it conies to lawyers' way cf doing tilings. Now why go around the bush about requesting me to get my supply cf Bon Bons. Chocolates, Taffy, etc., from the Hammond Candy Co? You could have told me that in a very few words, instead of taking up thirty-five pages to do it. But, your advice on that score came too late. I have the first section ali made up, and it consists of twenty-two sleds full of Hammond Candy Co. goodies. Here's a secret for getting along with the women folks: Keep her supplied with a box of fresh Chocolates every week yes sir. every week. I always keep a five-pound box on hand for Mrs. Santa Claus. Did I tell you she is going to congress next season? The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Chickens meets on top of the Pole in June, and Mrs. Santa Claus. is a delegate to the congress For the formation of inquiring friends, Mrs. Santa Claus has a nice Apex Washer a..u Toaster from the Apex Home Appliance Co., located at 702 S. Hohman street. That electric shop is sure up to the minute. Mr. Forstrum, the manager, also sent me an electric snow shovelcr. and believe me. Hank, I can stir up a regular blizzard right out in the front yard with this thing. You got a fine Percolator from there, eh? But beware the midnight luncheons, Hcinie hard on the liver. Bet you wonder how Mrs. Santa uses electric goods up here at the North Pole. Well, I'll tell you. She just hooks onto the Northern Lights and there you have plenty of light. Why, I've even got my reindeer stables electric lighted. Another thing, Heinie: Somebody in Hammond said you could drive your car pretty fast. Listen to me: Christmas Eve, I'll arrange to have the "Milky Way" all frozen up, so when my Reindeer Special speeds over that DePalma will look like a Hammond street car on Conkey avenue compared to me.' Well, our supper of icicles and snowballs is all ready, and Mrs. S. C. is calling me, so good evening. SANTA CLAUS. P. S. I wish you would find out how many Sewing Machines will be needed in Hammond so I can notify F. C. Miller.
