North Pole. December 7, 1920. Dr. J. T. Clark. Hammond, Indiana. Dear Doctor : My private secretary, 0. H. Soakum, informs me this morning that the Grand Boola Boola of the North Pole died last night and left forty-four billion dollars worth of rich gifts for Santa Claus, to be distributed all over the world. The news is of such importance that I am writing to tell you about it, so if there is anything else you will want besides the articles j'ou requested, you may send another list, for I feel like you are deserving of several good things because of the first aid you rendered when I fell from the Conkcy smokestack last year. With these extra gifts that I have inherited, there will be very few disappointments this year. It will mean more pianos to be distributed, more jewelry, more household appliances, more suits, overcoats and other articles of wear, more automobiles, more candy, more bicycles, more savings accounts started ,and a greatc-0 Christmas than has ever been experienced. We will have to make the Reindeer Special about ten coaches longer and won't that be a grand sight, with the great Santa Claus Special speeding over the earth, with the stars peeping from above and the crystal snow laughing beneath? I can hardly wait to get started, and the reindeers are prancing day and night with joy. Our factories are working overtime getting millions and millions of gifts ready for good little folks and the big ones, too, all over the world.
