The secretary let the furnace fire die out and about four a. m. Mr. Parrot started cussing the old man. The' local secretary attempted to correct the bird and the dirty thing told her to go to well, it's that place where the temperature runs high. I got the Parrot back on the next evening's express. After giving himself up to me, I imposed a stiff fine and ten days in solitary confinement. His color changed from green to blue when he heard the sentence of the judge, but, believe me, he knows how to respect the Ten Commandments now. Say, Frank, a movie man from Munster wants me to go into the movies, but the Grand Boola Boola of the North Pole objects, saying I should not fall for that publicity stuff. He's exactly right and should I catch any camera man trying to snap my Reindeer Special I will have him banished to Spearmint Island. Only eighteen days more and I will enter the beautiful city of Hammond, there to distribute in the homes of all the good little boys, and girls and the grownups the things that will make their hearts tingle with joy. I have the chewing gum, candy and fruits all packed ready for the Reindeer Special, and the Grand Boola Boola says he will see if he can't make arrangements to have the face of the earth powdered with a deep coating of snow.
