The marriage of Miss Lillie Bliss, a former Crown Point woman and a teacher In the schools of this city for many years occurred on Saturday. David J. Fisher of Hebron was the man, who claimed Miss Bliss as bis bride. He Is a prominent grain dealer of that place and Is well known throughout the county. After a short trip they will make their home in Hebron.

Pa., .ot. :2 Julia Hector, 21. is today sheltered with the family of Deputy Sheriff Joseph May hire alter 14 years of unbelievable torture she says she received in the home of Mr. and Mrs. rthines Georgel on a farm near here. At the age o. ix she was placed in the county po"r house after her father died. Soon shs v-as placed in charge of the George! family. She escaped last Saturday and came to the sheriff's office where she told a tale of cruelty which has allocked tV.e county and resulted in an investigation being started. Bound so that she was helplese and then tortured with boiling hot water ! oiw of the many atrocities to which the girl says she was subjected.

CHICAGO. Xov. 22. John Hunt is being held by the police today for the alleged slaying of Earl Smith, manager of a baking company, and the probably fatal wounding of Walter E. Myers, during srhooting affrays in two south side dance halls. Hunt is declared to have shot and killed Smith because he found him dancing with his "girl." He then. It Is declared, went to another dance hail and shot Myers with whom he is said to have quarreled earlier in the evening for dancing with Mrs. Florence Thompson, a young widow, the 'girl in question. Hunt is believed to have been crazed by whiskey.
