WOMEN WILL WANT PAPERS

Now that Indiana's first c.Icctlt-n in which women voted is over. It is expected that the courts of Lake county v.ill experience a run of applications from women for cilizi.-n.itup papers. In the pant it ha been a rare thing tor a wonian to file, for citir.en.thlp papers. In the last 10 years It is said that hardly more than a dozen have done so in the county. Where a wouan's husband filed it was of course cfelciii for her to apply also for ahe would automatically become a citizen when he received his papers. However, with single women, who aic alien and who long fo;- the. rlgiit ol suffrage as exercised by their American sisters it will be uccehnary to take out papers unless a marlage with a citizen is imminent. Courts have received a number of Inquiries this fall from women who are interested and It 1s predicted that there will be many applications for Hist papers from now on.
