WHIPPING EVAPORATED MILK It is much cheaper to use evaporated milk instead of cream when making whipped cr-eam desserts. Heat the milk in a double boiler to a simmerins, point, and when bubbles bepin to form around the edge, remove from the fire and set on ice until cold. Whip in a bowl with ice packed around. It is easier to whip when it is very cold.
ANTS Borax, wash blue and turpentine are three agents to drive out ants. Wash shelves where ants appear with them and they will not come again. If ants get into your refrigerator, take four bricks and place on top of each a lid of a baking powder can and set the casters of your icebox into the lids, then fill the lids with turpentine. The ants will disappear from your ice-box forever.
