CATCH ALTO THIEVES The East Chicago police made another good catch this morning when they caught two negroes, Roman Mitchell and Montgomery Lewis, who had
stolen the Marlon-Handley car of Johnff
Eako of Indiana Harbor and were on tbelr way to Chicago. The police were tipped off by C. J. York, chief of the General American Tank Car police, who saw the negroes near the Baldwin Locomotive company site and the airests followed. Mitchell, who has been In the East Chicago city court upon two previous occasions, claims residence at Olbson and Lewis has teen living on Pennsylvania avenue, Indiana Harbor.
NEGRO MOOJiSHISERS The first negro moonshiners of Indiana Harbor were arrested lait night when the Harbor police walked In upon James Farrls and Jimmy Ktys at 3655 Block avenue where a small still was In operation. The usual amount of retain mash was found and there was also a small amount of the white "kick." Farrla complained of the arrest. "Why don't you arrest NMck Bradne too?" To be accommodating the police then walked down to Nick's place at 3C-93 Block avenue and arrested Nick and John ganders. Tha latter, who are Roumanians, had an excellent copper atlll while the negroea outfit was of mediocre workmanship.
