Peter MacSwlney was deeply shock, ed at the change in his brothers appearance since he last saw him. Terence Is emaciated almost to the point of death. The bones of his face nn.l limbs and his ribs protrude through tin skin. His eyes are sunken until thev are almost invisible. He cannot speak above a whisper. The Cork lord mayor was indignant over reports that he wa taking nourisment. He told hie brother he wished to emphasise that he is dying for a principle and for the freedom of fc'.s country. It is rumored that, in the event of MacSwiney's death in the Immediate future, the government will not illow a public funeral to be held In Cork.

Judge Hardy and a Jury In Room 2 are hearing the suit of William F. Garnty vs. Thomas D. Williams, et al. for the replevin of an automobile. Oarrlty claims possession of the machine on the ground that It was stolen from Mm and turned over to a garage owner In Indiana Harbor. Williams was then chief of police In East Chicago. He took possession of the car under dispute and because parts of different machines had been Juggled In order to make it difficult to Identify the machine, he refused to turn it over t the plaintiff. Peter Davis has brought mitt against Steve Vargo and Charles Miller to collect rent said to be due on a utore huilding at J State Line street. West Hammond, which the defendants had leased. McAleer. Dorsey & Oillett are attorneys for the plaintiff.

ember 28 the board fixed 22 cents as he total for 1921. Following a conerence with Governor Goodrich, the
board issued the following statement:
