That her uncle induced her to come to Gary and live with him while her husband was in the army, and then forced her to give him. f 704, is charged by Anna Lemene, of Gary, in a suit f:le.d this morning in the Ilammoni superior court. The complaint whichj was dawn up by Attorneys Cleveland & Cleveland, i-lates that the young woman was living in Pittsburgh, when her husband entered the service. The uncle, Joseph Xepfhe, persuaded her to move to Gary and make h-T home with him. She worked in the home and made no other acquaintances. Gradually the uncle's attitude changed and instead of being solicitous for her welfare he would curse, her and threaten h.-r with boiily violence. He also reviled her husband and declared he should never see her again. She had brought $700 of Mer own money with her. He wanted it to help purchase- a grocery store and promised her an interest in the place. The woman refused to let him have the cash at iirst. but he threatened to turn her out into the streets so she five it up. Shortly after- he received the money he drove her from the house and has since then refused to give back the $700.
