A very pretty wedding took place at the Cook Catholic church on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock when Miss Susan Emma Schmidt became the bride of Raymond J. Scherer of St. John. Tha bride wore a white satin gown -with georgette overkirt trimmed with beads. Her veil was held in place with pearl beads and she carried a shower boquet of roses and sweet peaa. Her attendants were Miss Ruth Scherer sister of the groom as maid of honor and wore white voile. Helen Schmidt, sister of the bride, bridesmaid, wore yellow crepe dechine and Margaret Hasse of Hammond wore

attendants were John Schmidt, brother of the bride and Albert Sabineck of Cook. Roma Srherer of Chicago, a cousin of the groom was flower girl and also was Marclle Raascher of Hammond. After the ceremony the wedding dinner at 12 o'clock was given at the bride's parent shome. M. and Mrs. John Schmidt, 5 Vi miles west of Cook, to the immediate relatives of both the bride and groom. The younj couple left .Wednesday morning for a two week's honeymoon trip to Bos-ton. New Tork. Philadelphia and Niagara Falls, and after their return home they wilj reside on one of the Schmidt farms near Beecher, 111. Mr. Scherer is the eldest s'on of M. and Mrs. Albert Scherer of here. The Misses Rose and Lena Schumacher returned home from several days visit at Chicago. Peter Theilen has purchased a new five passenger Ford car
