STAFF CORRESPONDENT I. N. SERVJCEJ .NEW YoitK. Sept. 16. New York has fislons today of a personally conducted world's series following the climb of tha Yankees In first place and the continued even trend of tha Dodgers toward the championship of the National league. Neither the Giants nor the Reds could take advantage of the Brooklyn reverse, which left matters standing Just where they were when the Dodgers gained their commanding lead two days ego. The ease with which the Yankees plastered the Cleveland and Detroit clubs in their last five games, gave great encouragement to followers of that team's fortune. Inability for pitchers to deliver la the past, it is believed now, has become only a memory. Five out of six games on the victory side of the ledger is a feat or great promise for the Yankee adherents. The tightest title race the American league has seen in recent years, is now a little looser than for several days, due to the jump of the Tankos Into first plac. The teams sVsod today:

New York and Chicago will rest today, but the Indians will play a postponed game with the Athletics. Tomorrow tha Athletics go Into Chicago to take a last crack at the White Sox. If they can take that hurdle as impressively as they performed In Cleveland end Detroit, New Yorkers will consider the pennant as good as won, even though tha Yankees are still booked for an aproarenca against Jimmy Burke's trouble making Browns. The Washington club, which has been worrying the White Sox, will go to Cleveland for a series beginning tomorrow. The Giants will losf today, but the Dodgers finish off their series with the Cubs and the Reds will again meet Philadelphia. The Brooklyn lead over Cincinnati and New ToTk now fa so strong that nothing short of an absolute reversal of form can keep the Dodgers out of the world's series. The beating the Cubs gave them was the first they have suffered in llgames.

Ride on GoodyearTires in That Sturdy Small Car of Yours
It surprises certain users of small cars to find that they can obtain Goodyear Tires at a first cost ordinarily not greater, and sometimes less, than that of other tires. This initial value, as well as the very low final cost, results from the apoliation of Goodyear experience and care to their manufacture in the world's largest tire factory devoted to 30x3-, 30x3 V- and 3Ls4inch sizes. Such facts explain why more cars, using these sizes, were factory -equipped last year with Goodyear Tires than with any other kind. If you drive a Ford, Chevrolet, Maxwell, or Dort take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy real Goodyear value and economy; equip your car with Goodyear Tires and Heavy Tourist Tubes at the nearest Service Station.
