A Statement With Reference To The Mew

4,

Theatre

The Cosmopolitan Theatre Company of Indiana Harbor, Indiana, was incorporated under the laws of Indiana by experienced men engaged in the amusement business of Chicago, to build for Indiana Harbor a house for music, moving pictures, and vaudeville, qf the highest possible standard.

After careful consideration, the location was decided upon on Cedar, near 137th Street. This location can be reached by all citizens of Indiana Harbor and surrounding neighborhood without inconvenience. Financial interests having made a careful survey of Indiana Harbor are fully convinced that at this location this enterprise will be a success.

A house built with a seating capacity of sixteen hundred pople in comfort and entertained at a cost of twenty-five cents a person, with a high-class orchestra of music, men and women who render songs, and the current events of moving picture will add to the comfort of those who have an idle hour to spend, both in winter and summer months, because a house of this kind will be so equipped with a temperature that will at all times be comfortable. Those in charge of this proposition have in mind of giving Indiana Harbor a house second to none in this part of the state.

All those who have been privileged to enjoy entertainment in first-class places of amusement will fully realize what it would mean for Indiana Harbor to have a place of this kind. Such houses have not only been a great success in giving entertainment to the public but have been the greatest financial success of any business corporation in the past three years.

It cannot be expected that capita! outside of Indiana Harbor would bear the entire burden to give this community a consideration of this kind. They therefore, under careful organization, guarantee every business safeguard , to investors and are asking citizens in this community to purchase a part of their stock. Surely, there are many citizens in Indiana Harbor and surrounding communities who should be pleased to invest in an industry to which the American public pays $800,000,000 a year.

If the local community will respond, the greater amount of the necessary finances will be forthcoming from other sources. We feel sure that any investment made in this institution will bring returns in keeping with the very best of investments. The corporation will proceed promptly and give. Indiana Harbor an institution that will be appreciated more than anything that has ever been attempted in this community.

The new corporation has been organized and the following gentlemen have been elected as officers, and submit the above statement for your earnest comideration: JOSEPH TR1NZ, of Lubliner & Trinz, Chicago, President JACOB HANDELSMAN, of W. W. Kimball Co., of Chicago, Treasurer BERNARD J. BOWN, Secretary

HERMAN E. KANT0R & COMPANY offer a limited amount of the common stock of this corporation at $12.50 per share. Offices Corner Guthrie and Deodar Sts., Indiana Harbor, Indiana.
