Remove the potatoes and save for frying at another meal, and the soup will be found all right. IN SHELLING PECANS pour a kettle of boiling water over them and leave them stand a few moments. Most of the kernels will eotna out whole. TO MAKE THIN GLASSES STRONG place when new in a basin of cold water, put on stove and let it come slowly to a boil. Boil gently for ten minutes.
