July JT Chances for an early adjournment of the legislature were more favorable today lhan they have been at any time sines the special aeasion convened two weeks ago last Modnay, following ihe release by the senate to the house of the Ktper tax cure bill by a vole of 14 to 12. The bill had been ucd up m a conference committee for several days. The decision of the senate, it is believed, will tend to relieve the tension which has existed between the two bodies of the legislature for some time and restore harmony tn i he legislature for some time an drestore harmony in the legislative hall. has been ailing for a number of years from cancer and has een bedfast for the past fix weeka following . stroke of paralysis. She came to America in 1SSI and for a number cf years resided n Chicago. fihe then moved to Fast Gary and Crisman and during the past twelve' years has been residing here with her daughter Mrs. L. Traeger. She was the. mother of six children and all hare passed away except cne daughter, Mrs. L. Traeger, who survives, alsr two grand-children and one great grand-child survive. Funeral services will he held at 1:30 today at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. Traegr on Main street by Rev. Stark of the Swedish Lutheran church of which she was a member. The interment will be at the Blake cemetery at East Gary. The members of the O. E. S. Auxiliarywill have a beach parly at Lake Michfgan. Thursday and will leave at 9:30 from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Tedersn. The Ideal Book Club will be entertained at a one o'clock dinner at the Marshal Field's tea room this evening. Mrs. Nellie Thomas is the hostess. Mi.s Margaret Baurher visted friend in Chicago Monday.
