The Sacred Heart Italian church on Todd avenue. Because of thia the church is now starting a campaign to raiso enough money to build a church large enough to accomodate the fast growing parish. The celebration at which it is planned to start the campaign with a boom Is s"t tor August 29th and will oe participated in by committees from Hammond. Whiting. Kast Chicago and Indiana Harbor, which have been appointed to raise the money. Father Zavatta, the pastor, is in charge of thj plans and will have fireworks. band music and many other attractions. Many of the prominent Italians of the community are taking an interest in the church and are calling on their friends for assistance. Although the church Is Italian, there are a large number of parishioners of other nationalities who pre

Cox of his nomination as presidential candidate. Monday, August 9. has also been agreed upon as the date fof notifying Franklin P. Roosevelt of his nomination for the vice-presidency.
