Because of the irrestib'.e lure of the sea and the, lustre of marine tradition; because the whole world loves a sportsmanlike contest and because hoary-headed Sir Thomas Lipton thrice defeated in competition, but never beaten in spirit, is making h:s fourth attempt to lift the historic cup. LADIES! SECRET TO DARKEN BRAY HAIR Bring Back its Color and Lustre with Grandma's Sage Tea Recipe. Common garden sage brewed Into a heavy tea. with sulphur and alcohol edded. will turn gray, streaked and faded hair beautifullj- dark and luxuriant. Mixing the Sage Tea and Sulphur recipe at home, though, is troublesome. An easier way is to get the ready-to-use preparation improved by the addition of other ingredients, a large bottle, at little cost, at drug stores, known as "Wyeth'si Sage and Sulphur Compound," thus avoiding a lot of muss. While gray, faded hair is not sinful, we all desire to retain our youthful appearance and attractiveness. By darkening your hair with Wycth's Sage and Sulf hur Compound, no one can tell, because it dos it so naturally, so evenly. Tou just dampen a sponge or soft brush with it and draw this through your hair, taking one small strand at a time: by morning all gray hairs have disappeared. After another application or two your hair becomes beautifully dark, glossy, soft and luxuriant and you appear years younger.--Adv.

Fifteen minutes before the hour for starting a preparatory signal will be given by the vessel carrying the race committee. Ten minutes later the yachts will be warned to make ready and five mtnutes there after will come the signal to cross the line. The watf ra around Sandy Hook today were crowded with craft of ail descriptions. The floating palaces of financial kings rubbed rails, so to speak, with fussy, begrimed little tugs.. There were steam yachts, steam and gas' launches, sailing craft, pleasure steamers, noisy chugging motor boats of all shapes and sizer and a number of the smaller typo cf trans-Atlantic liners pressed into s'-rvice temporarily to take spectators to the races. The Orizaba, for instance, carried passengers at $25 a head for the one race. Some of the steamer prr-vided transportation ranging from $10 to $50. Amaizo Corn Oil Best for Salads and Cooking Buy in five gallon cans and save money. American Maize Products Co. Phone Hammond 238. Roby, Ind. ; I dropped my work for a minute or two yesterday and watched a couple of pretty young ladies who came into the store. They were beautifully dressed and came from well-to-do families. Evidently the father of one of them is out to encourage thrift, because I heard her say to the other: "Dad says I can have for myself all the money I can save on groceries says it's just the same as if I worked to earn it. Now believe me, I am going to do some shopping." The other girl had been holding herself above self -serve shopping, but you should have seen how quickly her nose came down, and now she is making a bargain with her Dad. WM.
