Frar.k Simon and the E. C. Maroons stood the St. Cyrils on their heads Sunday afternoon, thereby winning 2 to 1. Simon pitched a great game, with a lot of stuff on the and speed of sur prise. Business opened with a loud bang in the third. Krupa shot off a Texas liner and Makimik was seen to shiver apprehensively, though the hit didn't come near him. Simon walked, rutting Krupa on second. A wild throw by the catcher advanced Krupa and Simon to extia bases. I'oMrr, the mighty Maroon, first sacker. made the moment look very inconvenient to the St. Cyrils by soaking a two bagger. whi--h scored the two runs that won the game. Babe Simon, catcher for the Maroons,
did some wonderful work back of the bat and deserves credit for the victory as well as Baban and Foda. The out- j field consisting of Jamrok. Killer and , Lukesic. did some ftiprlop stunts for the 1
impossible to be gotten pill, thereby making the St. Cyril fans look eager enough to get rid of them. This Sunday the Maroons will tackle the fast White Eagles of Whiting, Ind. The Maroons would like to hear from the Hammond K. of C. and the Polarines of Whiting. Information a'l Joe Krupa or Jimmy Jinks, E. C. 507-R.
