Some people, who built a few years ago and who have not increased their amount of fire insurance to protect themselves against present replacement costs, may only carry enough insurance to protect their mortgage. Take your own case, for instance. If fire destroyed your building would your policy protect the holder of the mortgage on your property and yourself as well? Or would there be just enough money for the holder of the mortgage and none to replace your equity? If you are in doubt, consult u$.
