MEAT LAYER CAEE m. 2 cops fioxrr with 4 tapooiis baking powder 5 tablespoons lard H teaspoon salt 23 cop of milk. Bake, cool, split and fill with left aver meat that you have chopped finely and mixed with gravy. Spread more meat over top, garnish with strips of Pimento or radishes.

teaspoonful black pepper 1 tenspoon Fait cup water .V S cupfuls of strained tomatoes 1 Bay Leaf 1 tablespoon snpar - pound of spaghetti Vi cupful or more grated chees. Add the pepper to the oil and cook the onion in this, taking care not to brown. Mix the water and the tomato paste and divide in about three parts. Add one-third of this mixture to cil and onion. Cook slowly for threu minutes. Continue cociking and adding paste and water in this proportion until all has been added. Add trained tomato, bay leaf and salt. Cook thirty minutes. Add the sujrsr ami cook fifteen minutes longer. While the sauce is cooking pirt the spaghetti in boiling salted water and cook until tender. Drain and put on a platter. Pour the yauce over the spaghetti and mix together. Sprinkle with the cheese. Mushrooms, chicken livers, or meat may be cut as desired, sauted and cooked in the sauce.
