The Illinois State Securities Commissinn operate? under a law enacted by that state to curb fraudulent stock operations. The commission not only investigates stock companies wishing to sell stock itself but employs experts to make investigations of the financial status of the companies and experts in engineering and mechanics to investigate the practicalness of the patents, products, designs or other thing proposed to be marketed by the companies selling stock. The Illinois Securties Commission, popularly known as the "Blue Sky Commission," does NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU BUY ANY STOCK WHATSOEVER. But it does take such steps as are possible to prevent your being presented with opportunities to buy fraudulent or worthless stocks. The Leonard Tractor Co. did not need the consent of the Illinois Commission to sell stock in Indiana, but it did desire that a recognized medium of investigation make a searching investigation of the company, its patents, its product, its officers and its operation, in order that the public might know from an independent outside source that the Leonard Tractor Co. is operating on a legitimate basis to produce a practical article in an efficient way at a good profit. Not everyone could make a thorough investigation for himself in the prospects of progress of the company because of lack of time or money necessary to do it thoroughly but everyone can read the statement that this company has qualified under the Illinois State Securities Commission and realize that a worthy opportunity lies right here at home, being developed at the doorstep of every Lake County resident.

Feature of the Leonard Tractor You Should Know The Lrorurd Tractor is built of units acting perfectly together, ?o manufactured that the c3u?t is kept out and the oil is kept in and enough oil is carried jo that the tractor can he used a season on one oiling.

The Tractor is so planned that it can be manufactured. the progressive plan, the raw materia::? going in one end and the completed tractor coming out the other, with the least number of operations and labor necessary to make and assemble the parts efficiently. The first tractor' was tested more than two years without a repair part or oiling.

The Demand for the Leonard Tractor is already seen in orders which have come in from all parts of the country and foreign nations where no more tfian the specifications have been seen. Engineers recognize this as the tractor that will five mnre than a season or two of service and will perform in any soil.

The Plant will consist of several units, the first cf which is already being "tooled" at Griffith. Ind., and the second of which will be built before bill. Tool and tractors will be made in the first unit as rapidly as possible no waiting or delaying while the company is being financed. The plant is located on five railroads, giving ample transportation facilities.

Progress of the Company Increasing Stock Value

No waiting or delay marked the beginning of the operations of the Leonard Tractor Co. when it was decided to establish offices in Gary and a factory at Griffith. The first unit of the Griffith plant was obtained, necessary machinery for making tools, etc., purchased and set up as fast as delivered. The plans call for a big new unit, 125 feet by 250 feet, a modern factory plant, but the company set to work in the small first unit AT ONCE. In the first unit the tools necessary for making the tractor are being made under the direction of Expert Johnson, who "tooled" the Monroe auto plant from which came the machine which won the races at Indianapolis Decoration Day. Factory Manager E. E. Fletcher, for years with the Continental Motors Corp., Studebaker Automobile Co., and Bethlehem Steel Co., is on the job supervising and pushing forward every essential step in the founding of a big, permanent industry. And Mr. Leonard himself is on hand directing the various departments in the same way he made the Duplex four wheel drive truck a success. This personal direction and supervision means that the stock is actually worth more and more and still more as the work progresses. The fact that the site of the factory is owned by the company, that the company has a royalty- in the Leonard Airwasher Company all give the stock value equal to its par. But the practical, progressive management gives it even greater value for without practical direction, the best product in the world cannot pay a dividend on its stock.

PROFITS

i The first unit, now in operation, can produce two tractors a day, when tooling is completed. Two tractors per day would be sufficient to pay dividends of TEN PER CENT on the stock ! But this first unit is only a temporary plant to be used while the big plant is being built and this new unit will produce fifty to sixty tractors per day! GET YOUR SHARE OF THE PROFITS.

Henry Ford had a hard time selling a few hundred dollars worth of his stock and Carl Fisher of Indianapolis Speedway and Presto-Lite fame, had difficulty in raising a few hundred dollars.
