so costly that a contracting: firm purchased it fro-m the old Indiana Natural gas line company and Is now engaged in exhuming the buried treasure where ever it is not covered by improvements. Cntil the excavator arrived last week Cary residents were not aware that
tbero was a buried pipe line running through the city. In some places the pipe is only a little way below the ground and in some places it is down as far as 20 and 25 feet. Yesterday the excavator struck the edge of the high water mark in the Kittle Calumet river valley at 35th fireet and were forced to abandon their task until the water receeds. The old gas line all runs through Tolleston. then to Kast Chicago, "Whiting and Chicago. It has not been used fi-r over 20 years.
