A surprise miscellaneous shower was given in honor of Miss Krace lUit;nf r. vfhi'j marriage to Thomas Smith t Chicago, will take place on June 1st. at the home of her siste;. Mrs. K. Shaw, of 12S5 Monroe St. A mock marriage was performed by Mrs. H. K. Carroll, who wore a full dress suit, and read the marriage rituals with treat accuracy. The bride was Mrs. r. Long, who wore a beautiful white embroidered dress, a veil and carried a lovely bouquet of Klephant ears and orange blossoms . The groom. Mrs. C. King, was well dressed in overhalls. and sl red necktie which went very nicely with his black moustache. Miss llabc 'aul was maid of honor and wore a lovely dress Of white net. The best man. Miss Florence Kuhn. wore a military suit. The flower girls were Mrs. (leorge Sturgess and Mrs. It. Kpker. and they wore white dresses and carried baskets of assorted flowers. The remainder of the evening was enjoyed with dancing and music. The music was furnished by Mrs. I.eo Wolf. The Mesdames S. I.on and I. Sturges gave a very amusing cake walk. In ronclusion a nicely arranged two course luncheon was served. The bride-to-be received many beautiful gifts. Those present were the Mesdames Lo "Wolf, Carl Kaufman. S. Long. George Sturgess. Mr. and Mrs. 'A. E. Wilcox of Glendale Fark and Miss Naomi Ortt motored to Lafayette. Ind., this morning to spend ..the w eek-end with Alfred Wilcox who is attending Fqrdile University. The W. B. A. of the Maccabees met last night with a large attendance. The playlette which was given by the Indiana Harbor ladies was very much enjoyed by all of those preesnt. Final arrangements were made for the Rally o be given at Whiting. June 15th.
