ARE AFTER
There is a Way to Get Rid cf the Torturous Suffering.
You cannot boil water by applying the heat to the top of the vessel. You may possibly, after so long a time, succeed in making the water lukewarm, Vut it will never get hot enough to boil.
Disorders which originate in the blood can be reached only through the blood, and no amount of local treatment applied to the surface can be expected to do any real good.
The same principle applies to the attempt to get rid of skin
diseases by local applications of rough, red scaly skin is to purify
condition of the blood. They come from a colony of tiny germs which get into the blood and multiply by the million. Although commonly called "skin diseases," because they set us the visible evidence of their disturbance on the surface of the skin, all successful treatment must come through the blood. This makes it clear why you cannot expect any real substantial relief from local remedies applied to the sufface of the skin. There is no danger of ever being afflicted with skin diseases as long as the blood is in perfect condition. It. is only logical, therefore, that the proper treatment for
pimples,' blotches, sores, boils.
salves, ointments, lotions, washes,
etc., remedies applied to the surface of the skin, which can. have no real corrective effect whatever upon the disease. Water cannot be boiled until every atom has been thoroughly saturated with intense heat, which can only be accomplished by applying it in the proper way. So, also, there is a proper way to successfully treat and get rid of diseases of the skin, and that is by getting in behind the millions of t'ny germs that cause the disorders, and eliminate them from the blood, thus going direct to the source of the trouble, and attacking them at the starting point. These who rely upon local treatment, such as ointments, salves, lotions, washes, etc., which are applied to the surface of the skin, will never be free from agonizing skin diseases, because they are going about the treatment just backwards. They are treating the results of the disorder, and not the disease itself. They are attempting to bcil water by applying the heat in the wrong place. These terrify ing skin irritations, eczema, tetter, boils, pimples, etc., have their origin in a disordered
the blood of the tiny germs that
cause these disorders. When any of these symptoms appear on any part of your body, you should take prompt steps to rid the blood of the germs which cause them. And the one remedy which has no equal as a blood cleanser is S. S. S., the purely vegetable blood .remedy which has been on the market for more than fifty years. S. S. S. is sold by druggists everywhere. Do not expect to be cured of any form of skin disease by the use of lotions, salves, ointments or other local treatment, as such remedies cannot possibly reach the source of the trouble, which is the the blood.
LABOR VOTE
Abandon Such Phrases This Year as "Down With Capitalism." nv .i:orw.K r. hoi.mkm STAFF CORRESPONDENT I. N. SERVICE1 NKW YOKK. May 12 Kor the first time in recnt years the leaders of the Socialist party are abandoning today their assortment of Mock phrases such as "Down with capitalism." and "dictatorship of the proletariat.'" and are preparing to go out and bid for the votes of laboring men this year by appealing to their logic, rather than to their class prejudice. The ultra radical or "left wing" faction of the parly has been defeated on the national convention floor and the conservative element led by such men as Morris Hillquisff .Victor Merger. Oscar Ameringer. Cameron King of California and Judge Panken. of New York, are in control of the party's destinies . The Jliilquist program for political action during the coming campaign, which triumphed over the "Soviet" program of J. louis Kngdahl and his associate extremists from Chicago, is designed to appeal particularly to "the man in the street." It is a primer of Socialism with all words of more than two syllables barred from It. "That has been the trouble with us Socialists for forty years." said Victor Eerger. "We have prated about 'Marxian Socialism." and 'I'roletarianism' in all our campaigns. And not one man in ten knew what we were, talking about."

Ask your mother, aunt, grandmother, they will tell you of folks they have known who were cured of the many distressing, painful diseases which occur in most women's lives, by taking Dr. Picrce'3 Favorite Prescription, which is sold by druggists, in both Cuid and tablet form. What women say: Trout Lake, Mich. UI doctored with several doctors and they tt told me I would have to have an operation.
