Charter No. 8199.

Reserve District No. 7.

REPORT OF THE CONDITION OF THE Citizens National Bank At Hammond, in the Slate of Indiana, at the Close of Business on May 4, 1920.

fTIMES BUREAU AT STATE CAPITALl INI'IANAPOLIS. IN P.. Mty S What will be the fate of k. M. vVasmuth. of Huntington, republican state chairman, when the state committee is reorganized next wee became the most absorbing topic of political gossip mi the capital today following the conference of the -'nig Four" in the (.'laypool Hotel yesterday afternoon. Varren T. McCray. who sained a decided victory in the povernrsh:p race in the primary Tuesday, attended the conference w-ith Will Hayr, republican national chairman, and Senator New and Senator Watson. Although the conferees refused to comment on the matter discussed in the conference It is certain that the discussion centered on the matter of the re-appointment of Mr. Wasniuth Ma ny of the party leaders are taking the position that it would U a fjlal mistake for the party to unseat -Mr. Wasmuth at this time. It n said that Mr. Hays is opposed to his removal and is working In the tnu.r-t of party harmony on this point. T!:o " inclined to tack Senator Watson and Mr. McCray declare that It is to the interest of these g-?ntiemen to have a state chairman of their own choo-'ng. These men do n- t obji ct to Mr. V.-"i?-niuth personally, and do not doubt );ts fairness, but they jo believe tlKi- 'Mis intimate connections with the administration of Oovernor Goodrich disqualify him to lead the party in the state with Watson and McCray as the standard bearers. Irrespective of the . divergent policies of the political leaders it now seems certain that tho retension of the state chairman depends almost entirely on the. chairman selected in the fourth and ninth districts. Should pert. Morgan, of Greensiburg. be succeeded by JulSn Sharpneck of Columluts. in th fourth, and Charles n. F5ut!r of Crawfordsville tie unseated by W. J. Robinson of Boone county, it is virtually conceded that Mr. Wasmuth will have to step aside for either Burt Thurman of New Albany, third district chairman, or Lawrence Lyons, tenrn district chairman, who managed McCray's campaign.

Women as Savers

Women are savers by instinct. They are the incentive behind most of the accounts in the bank. This is especially so in this community, where so many women receive their husbands' pay checks to be cashed. Many of them leave something in the family savings accounts when they cash the checks. Your neighbor leaves part of her husband's check in the bank each pay day. Do you do that? A kept-up savings account will bring a home, better clothes, schooling for the children, vacation trips now and then, and perhaps a car. It is a pleasuse to save.
