adequately cxpirjscs my profound gratitude to them. Within tlio past few days numerous accusations have been made against various candidates, by other candidates and their supporters, and I therefore wish to state that I am not the candidate of any clique, faction or combination. I am standing on my record and such support as I have received during the campaign has been, I believe, on account of the record I have made as an officer and as a citizen. I am a Republican of twenty-five years' standing in this community and have always been a loyal worker and at all times have sought the good of my party and my country. I have tried to conduct my campaign in a clean, fair and impartial manner and pledf-e myself, if elected, to conduct the office of Sheriff in the same manner, adding to this the highest possible degree of efficiency. In closing, I wish to say, whether I receive this nomination or not. I will always have a kindly feeling toward the citizens of this county for the uniform courtesy they have shown me during the campaign and I now ask that on next Tueseiay, it you consistency can. you vote for Number 5 3, my number on the ballot. ours sincerelv, W. A check is being kept on all sales, li- said, and grocers are privileged to buy allotments based on the number of 'heir customers. Bremer for Prosecutor. dv. aS Former Judge Albert C. Huber a Probable Winner in Next Tuesdays Primaries Albert C. Huber of Gary, has made one of the most effective campaigns for County Recorder on the Republican ticket that has been made in the present campaign for any of the offices, ad all signs point to his nomination next Tuesday. Mr. Huber has made his canvas on for issues. 1. That he is qualified from experience to administer the office in an efficient manner. 2. That from a political point of view he is entitled to reward from the Republican Party, he having been active in the parties and its candidates behalf for the past twenty-one years in the county, having assisted all present and former Republican County officials in their efforts to gain office, including all the judges. 3. That Gary casts one-third of the Republican vote of the county, but has never had one official in the Court Houe. except Judge Norton, who was appointed by the Governor to fill a vacancy. Gary should be treated fair. 4. By voting for him. you will stop office-holders jumping from one office to another before their terms of office expire, as several of the candidates for Recorder would have to resign their present offices given them by Republicans if they should be elected. As a man remarked at a meeting in 1iiting, that the office holders who jump from one office to another before their terms expire, always reminded him of the boarder at the table who took a piece of meat from the platter and put it on his plate, and then saw one on the platter that looted better to him. and so. made the exchange, which was very satisfying to him, but disgusting to the other boarders. Mr. Huber's number on the ballet is 46. He will appreciate the votes of all voters who believe in a square dfil and a just reward. Adv. GALL STONES . l..,!-l 1,,- Tf fc" T- rad,ln 1 (Dept. B. Box 2m.
