We are going to tell you about transportation, as it concerns Hartman's Gardens, with Hammond, East Chicago, Gibson, Grasselli, Indiana Harbor, Whiting, Robertsdale, East Side, South Chicago, and in fact all the suburban station stops on the Lake Shore 6c Michigan Southern Ry., from Gibson Station to La Salle Street Station. The first question you are going to ask is "how is anyone working in anv of the cities above oin to iet to their work, if they lived in Hartman's Gardens)" Because there arc 7 suburban passenger trains every
working day between Gibson Station and Chicago. Gibson is the terminal of the Lake Shore suburban service, and is only three-quarters of a mile away from Hartmah's Gardens. It is not unusual at all for the average workman to walk six or seven blocks after he gets off the street car in the city. Hammond people can reach Hartmans Gardens in 10 minutes over the Gary & Interurban Electric Railway clean fast service and an all-night service is maintained.
The Station Stop of the Gary & Interurban is Just 2 Blocks from This Property A frequent Service is also maintained to Grasselli and East Chicago
But here's a little community information. One day last week one of our agents noticed that around the quitting hour each night many automobiles filled with men in their working clothes passed Hartman's Gardens on Kennedy Ave. So he decidedlo find out where they lived. The inquiry proved that they were employees of the Graver Tank Corporation, of East Chicago, and that these men lived in Scheerville more than seven miles away. Now, don't you think that if these men can drive a flivver more than fourteen miles a day to get to their work that you can live in Hartman's Gardens, which is only two blocks from a street car line, which
touches all of the big industrial communities of the Calumet istrict?
We have churches and schools in Hessville, too a new Christian church, built within the past sixty days, right on our property; another fine new brick church, 'the Evangelical Lutheran, just two blocks away. We also have one of the finest grade schools in Lake County, with twelve teachers employed. So wecan give you very near everything the city does, without the big costs that the citv charges.
Our Garden Sites average 100x135- Our price as low as $275.00 We charge no interest or taxes the first year. This is a mighty big item, too. Then we sell on easy terms of 10 per cent down and 3 per cent a month. This, big Sale will positively start next SATURDAY, MAY 1st, at 8 a.m., rain or shine Our agents are on the property every day. Come out and have a talk with them. Or phone our office and we will send an auto for you.
