CAXTON", O.. April 28. Jack Brit ton, welterweight champion, defeated Jock Malone Monday in a twelve-round bout. Britton jabbed ad jolted th St. Taul fighter throughout the battle. Non of the rounds could be credited to ilalone. Britton foug-ht cautiously and took no chances, as Malone occasionally endeavored to put over right crosses. The champion tised his left jab to considerabla advantage and Malone's face bore evidence of Britton'a et tention. Malone seemed to be 1b trouble with his left arm and this was fr'ven medical attention, but the physician declared it fit for battle. Notw iLhstanding this, however, Malone showed no disposition to use the weakened arm, -which was broken a couple of months aga.

A. bowling tournament at Wilkinson's alleys. A number of postponed games are to be played off. The league baseball season starts Saturday at Whiting Talk. Three three-

The new Red Crown band will perform for the first time before the public. All members of the association interested in football are urged to report to Captain Orr at the Community House or to Lw Griffith of the Pressure Stills for enrollment in the squad for spring football practice.
