There" is :i growing suspicion in many newspaper offices, though, that the prews agent has a big part in creating the white paper shortage. The teams of paper that he grinds into copy on his trusty 'mill" would print entire editions of many newspapers. The average editor regards prlntinR the press agent's stuff much as he would if a shoe dealer were to take a pair of shoes from his shelf and present them to a stockholder in an oil company. Press agents, like other fads, may die off prme day. Not howeer, until Ireland gets home rule, and a home is provided for rheumatic ukelele players. But until then we will probably have with us the press agent, and will have to tolerate him with every incoming mail. The only consolation editors have is that the reverse side of the press agent "s copy makes excellent scratch paper Ju these days cf H. C. 1.. Put what does the press hound care? He draws

Substitutes Often Worthless It is a well-known fact that Lydia E. PinkhanYs Vegetable Compound is the most successful remedy for woman's ills obtainable. Actually thousands of women have proved this to be true. Notwithstanding, some women make the mistake of trying something else, said to be just as good, simply because it is new. Is it not foolish to risk the possible bad results of such experiment and is it not better to depend upon a medicine that you know is reliable a medicine that has had no equal for more than forty years?
