"Marriage is game; It's a. contract with a lady and love. And I'm signed tip for a fair and finish go " Thus, from the source of his seventh bout wilh the " Little Bare Boy with the Bow end Arrow," Kid McCoy, fornur famous fighter, gave voice lo that bit f wisdom today In the presence of Mrs. Xorman Selby VII, nee Carmen Browser, a clajslo dancer, who Is now the , k'd's latest bride to bear his tinnrofeslo&al nam. "Eur" b mod Mister" Salby, "1 jet Nat op the oul."a board and he sa'tf te tne, fa.ys N'l': 'Kid, I've cot you eheated blnce I lell P-roadway; I've al Teady made two marriage since my demise. I played Xat Goodwin's hunch." The K!d, who ha seven hymeneal Betcha bjzt has had but five wives in the couxs" of his career, though his new love more ponderous than his tongue, tut he worked out philosophically when jreesed for the "terrible truth." "rep, he ruminated. "I used to think committing matrimony was like flirting wjth the same girl more than ever. But It's not- It's a serious proposition, like ah:pping for a life cruise In strange but fcaf pt waters. But believe men. I'm
g!ad to be a sailor under this little lady's mast." Whereupon this "little lady" rewarded the seventh honeymooner with a fullfaced view of her very best smile. Being, too, a one-time Paris pupil of Isadora Duncan and one of those nymphlike ladies who dance in "back drop" woodlands. It was some smile. The Kid's seventh daughter of seven ceremonies is a petite blonde. She is nineteen summers young and thinks the Kid Is the handsomest man in "moving pictures," which shows how much she loves him, love being blind. Both are sure this pact is everlasting and the Kid grows volumptuous. "If experience is the best teacher then I've taken a post graduate course," said ha "Six courses in one iesson ought to make the seventh perfect, eh Eddie? "When I in the ring I was known
for fighting fair and square. I'm going to get the same reputation from now on i in the squared circle of matrimony. I've '
always taken life as a Joke. It took six
Jokers to make me see I was the Joke. "Two great influences break up homes Jealousy and lonesomeness. I know If a guy don't make love to his wife, some other egg will and then you've got a rotten situation.

Many Old Faces in Same Old Places in Big League Infields.
NEW TORK. April 31. Most of the
stops on the big time baseball circles
have the same old faces in the aame
old places. More changes have been made around first base, however, than an any other station of the run line. Seven newcomers to the ranks of the regulars are taking throws on the starboard side sf the diamond. Five of them are pure experiments. John McGraw and Kid Gleason were forced to the ticklish task of putting an untried youngster on the important Job when Hal Chase developed "bad eyes" and Chick Gandll decided to atay on the coast. George Kelly. McGraw's hope. Toes a chance to make good if the Giant fans will let him. He and Frank Frisch. the new third baseman, have been doing all the club's hitting but the rabid Gotham fans have been inclined to razz Kelly since the opening game when he committed several busher stunts on the bases and let a hot grounder through him. Ted Jourdan seems to fit well in Sox works. He. however, hasn't the Job cut out for him that the youthful Kelly has to emulate the brilliant Hal Chase. Jourdan can play only ordinary ball and be as good as his predecessor. Doc Johnston stepped in to fill the empty sack for the Cleveland Indians find has been doing so well that Harris, the former first baseman. Is not missed. Gavvy Cravath displaced the veteran Luderus with Paulette on the Phllly field, and the Cardinals are trying out Jacques Fournier. whom Branch Rickey

TODAY there are more than 7,000,000 of them in the country. Pretty soon nearly everybody in this section will be traveling around in his own automobile The first thing a man wants to know nowadays, when he starts out to buy a car, is how much it is going to cost him to keep it run ning. Its all very well to take some dealer's word about a tire if you know who he is and his object in selling it to you. Our object in selling U. S. Tires is to have you come back for more and be glad
that we sold them to you. U. S. Tires have a record behind them. They are built by the people who perfected the first straight side automobile tire, who produced the first pneumatic truck tire. Two of the greatest contributions to tire and motor economy ever made. IV As representatives of the oldest and largest rubber concern in the world, we have a reputation to live up to. We can't afford to substitute "just as good" tires for tires of standard quality.
