pital of John Hopkins University. Heart trouble and complications resjlting from an illness from which he was a puffcrer dnring the past year, were the immediate causes of death. For the past month Mr. Vail had been recuperating at Jekyll Island, off the Oeorgian coast, which is the center of homes of many prominent families. lie ,ame f Baltimore and entered the hospital at Johns Hopkins University the first of this week. His death came early this morning. He is survived (by Mrs. Vail, who accompanied lilm to Baltimore from hiv Jekyll Island home. Mr. Y:l was in his 75th year. H was born in Carroll county, Ohio. In IS 15. For well over a quartpr of a century Mr. Vail was one of the most dominating figures in the e?etr:eal world. He was the organlrer and dirirtnr iu many electrical enterprises, dealing principally with the extension of telephone and telegraph lines in all parts of the world.
