The trouble started w hen the negro, who is. dying and the negro who is wounded attacked white man. The two negroes were captured after bavins: shot and badly wounded tha two policemen.

little thicker than for pancakes, one teaspoon alt, one of soda dissolved in a little warm water, then the well beaten whites; etlr thoroughly, bake at once in waffle irons.

Mix one-half teaspoon each of ginger, cinnamon and salt with one cup of corn meal and H cup of molasses. Put into a saucepan, add one pint of scalding hot milk (set on the stove and stir until thoroughly scalded and bubbling), then add another pint of milk. Stir well, pour into a buttered baking dish and bake for two roars in a moderate oven, siirring occasion
