EAST CHICAGO IS ALL READY FOR HOTEL As the time draws near for the opening performance of the Klks Minstrel of Fa.-t Chicago lodge, every participant is beginning to feel the need of perfection in l is or her part, and to watch a rehearsal is. to rome. even better than Hie real show, for in the rehearsal the improvement of .the characters is so marked tliat it is interestiii beyond description. In the musical comedy portion of the show, tha part that precedes the arrival of th n instrels. Al .Murphy has the part of a bell boy of the Inside Inn: John Drossen has the role of a hotel clerk andYerne Williams is the showmen. These are difficult parts, but the boys who have them are masters at handling each part assigned to them, and together with Director Harold Gilles. they will make a eiuartette which will keep the audiences in an uproar from Ihe opening scene to the final curtain. Opposite thern will appear the Misses Kihel Silverman. Henrietta Rosenthal. Blanche T'essmier and Sybil Clapper i; roles, respectively, the stenographer, .the i!!atre gossip, the prima donna and t bowery girt. A iarge chorus of Fas! Chicago beauties will help the sin ginc: and dancing end. and in the second act, the introduct on of the minstrels will he an added novelty. Th" scenic and costume effects of the production are superb, new, fresh and a grand sight to behold. Joe F-rcn, composer and director, will he there personally to handle the production. and the committee in charge, looks forward to the biirgest event of the season at the Hartley theater.
