Regarding one group of properties controlled by this company, the Denver Post of December 28th, 1919, says:"0ne of the most important deals that has taken place during the year in Iowa Gulch was the bonding and leasing of the Ready Cash, Aurora Nos. 1 and 2. the Big Chicago, and the Cora May to Chicago capitalists. Operations on a large scale will be started within the next few days and the first work to be done will be the driving of a development tunnel 1450 feet. When, the objective point is reached the depth gained with be 625 feet, and the main ore shoot will be cut. The leading vein on the surface is thirty feet wide and carries values in gold, silver and lead. The formation thaj the tunnel will pass through will be the blue lime and porphyry. Each of the five mines in lhis group are worked by an individual shall and tunnel, but a big tunnel is being driven at a depth of 625 feet below the surface which will cut the main vein and tap all the veins in these five mines, so that all can be worked through the big tunnel and the ore extracted faster and cheaper through this big subway.
