The East Chicago police are today looking for a negro who last night attacked Margaret Crow, 4213 Carey street, Indiana Harbor and Mary Cowash of Valparaiso as they were on their way to the Pennsylvania depot shortly after six o'clock. As the two girls came to the corner of 139th st. and Euclid avenue the negro stepped out and grabbed Margaret Crow by the neck. IBoth girls screamed and the negro ran. Officers Mukar, Uazar, Fano and Kondat who were detailed on the case were unable to find any trace of the man.

SUITOR BEATS HIS FIANCEE Claiming that her suitor had beaten her into unconsciousness at her home at 1648 Jefferson street, Vivian I-ove. colored, was found to be in a serious condition by the Gary police yesterday afternoon an dtoday is under the care of a physician. She swore out a warrant for his arrest today.
A small plot of blood was the only evidence which the Gary police had to solve a stabbing affray with Saturday afternoon. They were called to the vicinity of 16th avenut and Georgia street In response to a report of a stabbing; affray. They found one woman who claimed tahe had seen a man laying in the alley and had seen another man making his getaway down the alley. Upon making- a search the police found a clot of blood in the alley where the victim had1 been stabbed. As he , disappeared, the police believe that his
injuries were not very severe.
