GRAPE SEASON Grape Jelly One pound of water, 1 pound of (frapes. Crush the trapes and boil in the water for twenty minutes. Press through a jelly ba? and allow to drain through u flannel La?. Teat the strained juice with alcohol to determine the proportion of Eupar to use. Brine the frape juice to boilini?, add necessary sugar, and stir until the eujrar is dissolved. Continue the boiling until the jelly point is reachad. Remove from the !ir; and ekira. Pour into hot steril;ed gr'asses. eeal and Btore. Grape J dice (Unfermented) Pick ever and wash jjrapes, barely cover with water, and cook until soft and white. Drain throug-h cheese cloth. To each quart of juice add one cup each of water and supar. Brin to boiling point, ekim, bottle and cork tightly. When cold, dip corks into melted paraffine. Veniwm Jelly One peck wild FTapes, one quart vinegar, onefourth cap whole cloves, one-fourth cup stick cinnamon, six pounds suarar. KITCHENETTE COOKERY. Lamb Stew. Get a pound of lamb, a stewing piece. When partly cooked season with salt and pepper, add three medium sized carrots, cut In thick slices, two oniona, cut in sections and six potatoes, cut In large pieces. Make dumplings of 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, scant 1-2 cup sweet milk, 1-4 teaspoon salt. Mix thoroughly and drop in the stew. Cook until thoroughly done and thicken the gravy with a little flour mixed with cold water. The dumplings should be put in about 20 minutes before the itew is done. Roll each spoonful oiObatter in flour before it is dropped in the stew and the dumplings will not be "heavy." This will serve three. Cheeae and Pimento Sandwiches One-half pound American cheese and 1 can pimentos put through a food chopper and mixed thoroughly. Spread thin slices of bread ana put the mixture between. This will make twenty sandwiches. Sour Cream and Nut Filling Cake One cup of sour cream, 1 cup FUgar, 1 cup chopped nut meats. Cook slowly until it thickens. Cool and spread between the layers. Fruit Salad Make 1-2 pint of cherry gelatin, using cherry juice instead of water.- Cut in scnarea. Put square cf gelatin on a lettuce leaf. Over this put sliced canned apricots and a spoonful of mayonnaise dressing with a cherry on top. Serve or individual plates. Any left over canned or fresh fruit may be used instead of the apricots
